Annelore did a great job. Her analysis is very interesting. She underlines the advantages and disadvantages of technology in the hotel business and to her point of thinking, too much technology is not good as it kills human contact. I also share Annelore's conclusion. She is absolutely right saying that "hotel can use technology without putting away the human touch..."

LUXX Hotel in Bangkok introduces "Home for the Young, Hip & Trendy Traveller"

The main topic of the article under discussion http://www.hospitalitynet.org/news/154000600/4027798.html is the hotel for the young, and trendy traveller. This concept was recently introduced by LUXX hotel: a new taste of luxury for its guests. The hotel is the smallest one in Bangkok (13 individually designed rooms and suites) and its design was created by a young architect who managed to fit the taste of young customers.

I think this is a very interesing concept and a succesful strategy for appealing young clients. It responds exactly to the needs of the hotel industry. Today, many hotels introduce concepts for middle aged people, families. And they forget about young generation and their needs are not the same. That is why hotels have to adapt to the incessantly changing needs, tastes, prefences and fashions in order to remain competitive in the flourishing hotel market and LUXX hotel is on the right way.

I think that Géraud is right by saying that web site is of great importance for a hotel. As for many clients it is the first contact with a hotel, the first impression that plays a huge role of whether the customer will book the room or not. Besides Géraud says that small individual hotels have to spend more time on creating the web site in oder to survive in hotel industry. I am absolutely agree with him. Every hotel has to do its best, has to be imaginative and innovative what will fidelize old customers and will bring new ones.

Hotel investments in Asia to top seven billion dollars this year

To my point of thinking this is good news. The hotel indistry is booming, new hotels are building, new jobs are creating but on the other hand there is a negative impact on ecology.Flora and fauna are polluted and destroyed due to overbuilding and irresponsible development. Besides there are more and more disappearing cultures.
